hey bud, how are those leopard wrasses doing? What species did you actually get then?I've been considering getting a couple for me tank, beautiful fish.
I put a pair of leopard wrasses in the tank. The female disappeared a few days later but the male is doing very well in the tank. I'll try and post a current picture of him.

Just wondering how the front viewing pane is doing with scratches? I have been debating if my next tank will be acrylic or not, I am really thinking that acrylic will turn to junk after time. I went to a local frag shop today and they are getting rid of their acrylic frag tanks, and they look absolutely terrible. Do you like your other glass tanks better?

I guess it depends how much time you want to spend cleaning the tanks. None of my acrylic tanks (6), have any scratches on the outside. Have some small scratches on the inside due to carelessness & being in a hurry. With the Kent scrapper, I learned to change the plastic blades on a regular basis. I learned to shut off the pumps when I use the algae magnet to avoid getting blowing sand caught between the magnet & the acrylic.
On the other hand, my glass tanks are a breeze to clean and can be done in a 1/3 the time. If you are willing to take the time, go acrylic. If you want the easiest route, go glass. Personally I like the looks of the acrylic tanks better.

Thank you, for not having any fish in that tank, it is interesting to look at. I'm going to mount some of the rics to small rocks and let the rest just carpet the bottom of the tank.

yea that will be really cool! Maybe a couple bigger rocks then just let em go nuts!
Through a couple smaller fish in, call it done nice and easy.

Size of Goodwin's tank(s) isn't necessarily the issue. Garibaldi's are Pacific kelp forest fish; they're not warm water reef fish. That was the only point I was trying to make.
...that and just egging him on for another big tank build for all of us to watch.

It may not solve the aggression, but it probably will help. Just like he probably keep several pairs of clowns in his 600, and I could only keep 1 pair on a 58 gallon...

No cold water tank for me. One of the damsels has already passed and the smaller one remains. Eating well, but stays to the front corner of the tank. I haven't seen him venture any further from that corner.

The divers in Florida sent me some really nice large blood red bubble tip mushrooms to add to my collection of ricordeas.
