I have some red stuff all over my rock & sand. I want to wash it off because I'm moving today & taking my tank apart anyways. Is it ok to wash it off?

If you use salt water to wash it it should be fine. It is probably Cyano bacteria aka red slime. After you re set your tank up be sure to monitor ammonia. Moving a tank often causes a mini cycle. Just have plenty of mixed salt water around if you need to do an emergency water change.
