Starting my fry tank build

no problem, I would love a picture of what you are referring to so I can see if it would work.
I am gluing the PVC now. I don't know why I get so nervous doing this, lol
Hoping for a water run later .

Looks nice Teresa, now I am just thinking out load - what happens if the power goes out - is there a surge on the return that might suck up some of the babies, would it be worth it to put some type of a screen on the return until they get a bit bigger. Iknow you siad they were tiny I don't know maybe a filter sock on it. Just thinking out load.

It shouldnt back load, I have a hole drilled just below the water line, but I will look into something to cover the end with out restricting flow.

ok, have to do some mods to this build. The babies are getting sucked against the screen. ugggggg
first I made the screen openings much much bigger. Tomorrow after the silicone dries I will see how it goes, I may have to T off some of the flow to, or change out the pump.
I need to get this up and running -- my male is about to drop another load.

Are you singing "If I were a rich girl" yet? What are you going to sell your babies for? SWF might buy the whole batch from you to sell here on the site. They were selling the Reidi, but the were too large for my tank. With Erectus being so hardy, and the perfect beginner seahorse, you might do alright.

lol, Im not counting on anything yet. I still have about 3 months to get thru. I will be happy to raise a couple for my own tank. Dont get me wrong, a couple extra pairs would be nice to take to my lfs for store credit. I really sont want to ship them.

Now, now...if you can get 140 to stay alive and then another batch simular to it...you will have to break down and ship them, or seperate the pairs so you don't get more babies. That's a whole bunch of seahorses to try and keep.
