Starting the 29gal Biocube back up!!!

So I FINALLY have the time for my tank again, I have been out of the game for over a year!
So today I drug out the biocube, cleaned out the dust bunnies, and started it up! I added sand and water for right now and will be going out tomorrow for salt.
This is what I have and will be adding-
I have a koralia 1 that I will be putting in there- is that enough circulation?
In the fuge I will be placing the heater back there, purigen, and chemi-pure. Should I add some LR rubble? Does that sound okay for the back?
Here is the list of fish I like- suggestions?? Obviously I am not going out and buying all of these after the cycle, just trying to make a list of what I like and starting from there.
Clown Goby- green or yellow.
Clown fish
Scooter Blenny
Lawnmower blenny
Star fish ----what type would be okay in my tank?
Chromis
Midas Blenny
CUC-
I love emerald crabs...so will be getting 1-2 of those later on.
What kind of crabs/snails/shrimp should I look into?
Peppermint Shrimp?
Any help/suggestions would be great! I want this tank to last a while and really want to enjoy it!!
Thanks

Here is a picture of it so far! Hope to add many more!!!

Welcome back to the addiction!
I don't think a LMB would be a good idea, I'd go with a smaller blenny like a Tail Spot. You might want to think about only one, the Midas is likely to fight with any other blenny you put in the tank.

Thanks!
I have another question- the black sealant on the outside of my tank is peeling a tad. I haven't had any leaks but should I be proactive and reseal? If so, with what???

The table you have the tank sitting on looks like veneered particle board. If so please rethink that. Particle board tends to dissolve when it gets wet. If it's solid wood then just ignore me

It really depends on how much it's pealing. I have an 8G BioCube set up right now that I didn't bother to reseal on the outside even though the black is a pealing a little and it's fine. Same thing happened with my 14G one. The inside seals are what you really need to make sure are solid.

I thought it was cheap until my mom was not letting it go and when I asked she explained how long the family had it and how it's solid wood. I begged for it because I knew it would be a great table and there is tons of storage underneath! I knew you didn't mean any harm

Okay- so there is just a tad on the outside pealing nothing inside. I will just keep an eye on it.
Added the salt today, heater, and koralia 1.
I am not going to be getting LR for a while and want to start the cycle. I have someone who has LR but it's not cured and some of the pieces are dry. So I am going to be getting that this week and curing it in buckets. Should I add a dead shrimp to the tank to start the cycle?

So...my lights went out! I need to replace the bulbs...what do you all think I should get? I am lost when it comes to lights. I don't want a crazy ton of corals but I really like xenias, kenya trees, and zoos. So..what do you think I should replace my bulbs with? I

If the live rock is not cured, yes, I'd start the initial cycle with a raw shrimp.

I would just replace with stock bulbs if that's what you plan on keeping. The stock lights will be fine with that, no reason to go crazy.

Alright, so my tank has been doing great!!! All of my levels have been spot on too :)
So all I have in my tank right now is sand, lr, and a blue sapphire damsel- yes I know, but he is really cute and really small. I actually like him. No, I didn't cycle with him, I used a raw shrimp.
So- I finally have some money set aside for a clean up crew.
What should I go with? I like mostly snails and maybe a few crabs, not many if any. What do you think? How many snails should be the limit in a 29gal?
Also- I like the false percula clownfish...but do I need 2? Is 1 okay or should they have a clownfish friend? I also like the pink skunk clownfish. Same thing- do they need to be in pairs?

As far as the CUC goes that's all up to you. Sites such as this one have clean up crews that are prepackaged to give you an easy option. Bottom line, however, the more variety you have the better off you are, there are millions of types of motile invertebrates in the ocean. Many people will tell you the downfalls to crabs and all of their bad experiences but as long as it's reef safe, a couple never hurt. Diversity is KEY.
Clowns do not have to be in pairs, but it's a popular trend and there is great success for breeding them in the home aquaria. Breeding my not be a goal of yours but it is an interesting spectacle. Just my .02
Personally I like this combination
10-12 nassarius snails
10 cerith snails
Around 5 Nerites
Maybe a couple of Turbo snails
A pair of emerald crabs
10 or so blue leg hermit crabs
That's more or less what I had in my Biocube

In reguards to what I put in red.
I have been looking at those and I am wondering why they are so heavy on crabs. Maybe someone more experienced than me can shed some light on that reasoning.

The one that caught my eye was the 30 - 90 Gallon Reef Pack and the contents just blew me away.

I might could see all that in a 90g tank... but 43 crabs seemed crazy for a 30g tank. Maybe it's just because Im a noob to SW and don't know any better.

It seems crazy to me. I'm not a fan of the reef packs. I like adding the CUC in stages.
