Starting up 3G Pico again!!!

So today i have made the decision to start up my 3G pico again. It used to be up and running about this time last year as a beutiful reef tank (Lost those pics). with coraline and some small corals and it was VERY succesful. But then i had to take it down due to my move to colorado.
i currently have a 28g FOWLR and i kinda started to miss the reef hobby...so i found the 3g pico in the garage and i have decided it is going to be up and running as a reef again. I will be using some LR and LS from my FOWLR to reduce a cycle. I just oredered a new hang-on filter for it. I will keep you all updated.
I will post pics after i get it running.

Thats awesome, i have one and can't be happier, for your CUC use 2 snails and hermits per gallon and 1 emerald crab. thats wat i have and almost no maintance. i also have a coralife PC light fixture that works great along with the stock PC light, i am growing SPS in there and a ton of zoas. If you need any info that you don't know message me.

Look up cerameco's VidaRock.
They make some rock specifically for frags for a pico. max size is 8"x8"x8". i will post a picture. It is super porous.
This isn't up-to-date i have some more frags in there now but it is awesome. I also have an LED moonlight glued to the bottom of my fixture and it makes the greens and orange's look flourecent. It's like a small neon sign

ok, so today i got the salt and a thermomoeter. Im just waiting for my Azoo filter to come in the mail. It says it could be here from jan. 5-12. ERRR i want it tomorow so i can the thing setup again! I love this tank!
Im thinking polyps, shrooms, some LPS, and maybe some xenia. Last time it was setup i had xenia, shroom, and hammer head in it. it did so well!

I am going to try a lobo soon if they guy will make it down to me anytime soon......
I have TONS of zoas and all love it. I also have 1 SPS who is doing fine i think

It doesn't take good pictures so i can't show you

What equipment r you using? I have a toms aquatics deco kit but with an azoo filter coming, 25gph powerhead, and 18w Compact Florecent bulb

i hae the normal pico filter, a Vivaaqua VA-80 powerhead and an odysea PC light, and it's growing an SPS!!!

He is local to me and he really does everything he can to make sure it makes it to your door alive. He has ton's of awesome coral, i would recommend the mohawk paly's. the picture doesn't do it justice.

Thanks bro! I Thank you alot for all you have told me! These tanks are very fun! Ill take a look at the site but the mods might take it out. TAHNKS

i know, sorry mods it's the only site i can find mohawk paly's.
No problem, ya these tanks are awesome, i had a power surge when i was out for the day,
the GFI went off and the tank was off for like 6 hours. no circulation or heat. only thing that
was on was the lunar LED's. Everything is alive so far. the mohawks looked the worste.
If you want some awesome rock look at VidaRock by Cerameco.
They make this awesome LR like substance thats super porous and it looks great. They make
some specifically for Pico's and they will ship. It's awesome rock. And the people who work there
are great people and will answere any of your questions

Thanks! i might consider this if i need more rock, to start im going to use one big rock from my 28g tank. Im supposed to get my filter today and i may be able to get the tank setup this evening!!
