Still having low calcium and ph

:help: I hope I don't sound really stupid but I am still having trouble with my calcium. and ph. I have switched over to using distilled water and lfs said if I use corallife and my calcium would raise. I also have trouble with the ph. I use reef buffer or builder (can't remember off hand) to put it at 8.3 usually falls down to 8.0 within a day or two.
ph is at 8.0, nitrite 0, nitrate 0 ammonia 0 and calcium is at 350. Can't seem to raise it any higher. Alkilinity is off the charts. Oh and I also have been putting in reef magnesium.
Any help is greatly appreciated. And thank you for answering my last couple of posts. Oh and I have been adding liquid calcium and kalkwasser. thanks

I was having the same problem and switched to Oceanic Salt mix and my Calcium has gone up steadily.
My Ph is also more stable.

My guess is that your ALK is sky high with all the buffer you're adding and that has depleted your Magnesium and Calcium.

Have you ever tried just using b-ionic. and not using all the rest of the stuff. I couldn't get my tank level and started using that and I have not had any problems with it since.

Thanks for replying. What I am getting from the info I read is that I should not put any more ph buffer in for now. I guess my tank is really off whack. I did read some of those articles but I'm not no scientist in this department so what can I do to fix this. Is it going to kill my shrimp and snails and being so out of line. Sorry for so many questions but only way I'll learn. And I've never heard of B-ionic before. :notsure:

The more Ca you add the lower your ALK will be you need more Ca in your system to get the levels balanced.
Quit ading buffers and raise your calcium.
You are probably having a problem with high level of C02 in your house open some windows and get fresh air in the house.
Then test your PH.

The best thing you can do right now is to do a series of weekly water changes to get things back in line, then when you get them where they should be go back to dosing.
You really should look into the B-ionic.
