Stonefish might not be such a good idea. They get to be roughly the size of a football, an entire blown up football. They will eat most tankmates when they get large enough, and they can and will kill u if u touch them. I havent known too many people who have kept them, but they have a meaty diet, hide themselves in teh substrate, and unless the fish wont fit in its mouth, gets along with most tankmates. Still, i wouldnt do it, cuz u mihgt die...

I don't see the greatness of stone fish, especially when there are anglers that are so much cooler.... But anyways, your list would be fine except the dwarf lion.

liontamer, jim (brothers friend) told me it was about full grown and is about 5 inches now he said it wouldnt grow larger than 7 inches...maybe a different species, so they will pretty much eat any thing they can fit in there mouth?

not pretty much. They WILL eat anything smaller than them and they have quite a big mouth. You may be able to get one IF u tell me the species name of the one yur getting. IF it is a false stonefish than u will be okay. If not u will die. THey are the most poisonous fish in the lion and scorpion family. you could have a great lion and scorpionfish tank if u ditched the TAng

No, they get quite huge, so maybe it isnt a stonefish. They get to be the size of a rock, and look like a rock. They are actually pretty boring creatures, and yea there are such cooler anglers out there to get. Try to snap a pic...

fishy411, yea, i really like it though, i think its sweet how he hides in the sand and hobels around when he does decide to come out but will he be fine with the other fish i want?
liontamer, what anglers would u suggest for the tank size and the fish that i do want?
1.) dwarf zebra lionfish
2.) blue powder tang
3.) maybe a snowflake eel? (undecided)
4.) angler or that stonefish

id say scratch the powder blue off of yer list and get a kole or yellow tang. As for an angler? Maybe a colored angler or a frogfish. They are colorful, pretty neat. They just like sit around, almost blend in. They are so ugly that they are beautiful. They WILL eat anything their size though, but thankfully they stay small.

1.) lionfish
2.) kole tang
3.) stonefish (i dont think its the one ur thinking bc this one only gets 7")
4.) angler

Heres a little hint for ya. The people who work at the fish store and the guys on the internet, they are in the business of making money. They are NOT in the business of making sure yer fish stay alive. They will give u weak recommendations on what u should keep yer fish in, wat to feed it and so on, but once they take yer money, they dont care if the fish lives or dies. On the other hand, were not making any money helping u on this site. We are here solely to correct the mistakes that Salespeople have made upon u, and to put u on the right track. A Blue Hippo Tang will get way too large for a 90 gallon, though not soon, within a year it will be too large. The internet is just putting advice on the internet that u want to hear and see so that they can make the sale. If i were u, id take the advice from people on this board b4 u do from a store, cuz weve learned from experience wat to do and not to do, and we dont want such failures to happen to u. This is a tough hobby, and ignorance wont get u anywhere. Were just trying to help. As for the stonefish, they still need a very large tank anyway, and they definitely get much bigger than 7 inches. So, make sure it is a stonefish for sure b4 u make any other conclusions. Get all of yer facts together "b4" u make a purchase. Thats all i have to say.

Then the answer is NO, DONT get the stonefish. Too many problems for you to handle at this point of time in the hobby for u. Only people ive ever known experienced enough to have one have been adults of 30 years of age. Just dont do it.
