Okay, i have the following fish : Yellow Tang, Blue Hippo Tang, 4 Blue Green Chromis's, and a 6 Line Wrasse. I am currently feeding the tangs green algae with garlic extract mixed into it. they are eating a 2" x 2" once a day. I am also using TetraColor Natural Color Enhancing Flakes. I am using this twice a day. I know the flakes aren't the best. What should I get?
Also, I will be adding 2 clownfish, a coral beauty, and 2 cleaner shrimp in the next 3 to 6 months.

LOL...toss the flakes...not in the tank though
Frozen foods....mysis shrimp, marine cuisine, emerald entree, mega marine algae....those are all good foods, and all the fish you mentioned should benefit from them

I am a huge fan of DYI fish food. We went to the Asian market, bought a bag of frozen mixed seafood. I added extra shrimp, cod, and algea sheets. (Nori sheets which are also cheap at the Asian market) Stuck it all in the food processor with garlic and liquid vitamins. I had some eggcrate in the garage that I cut to the size, placed the eggcrate in a baking sheet, smeared the food in and stuck it in the freezer. Once frozen, popped them out and put in a baggie. Honestly, it is much easier to freeze it in a ziplock bag---but I wanted to have the nice, uniform squares. Everything in both of our tanks love it and they are fat and happy. We currently have blue damsels, six line wrasse, Nigerian Triger, Yellow Tang, 2 clowns, neon dottyback, cleaner shrimp, hermit crabs, zoas, mushrooms, and frogspawn--everything eats it and is thriving. Cost about 1/4 of store bought food. They also like frozen Formula 1 and some flakes we occassionally throw in. When we get some angles, I am planning on buying some frozen food with sponges in it and adding it to our homemade mixture. Just my .02, but I think you would be happy with it.

I have shrimp brine that i feed the fish. Is that okay? What about Ocean Nutrition Formula One Marine Pellet. Says its made for carnivorous/omnivorous tropical fish. And it has garlic in the pellets also. Can you look that up and let me know what you think please.

LOL...SORRY...I rarely think of that cause I HAVE nothing like that available to me....frozen shrimp and scallops from Wally World is it for me

I also forgot to mention formula 2 cubes
reef complete, and enriched brine with spirulina

It is cheaper to make it than mail it!! lol--sorry. I got a large bag of frozen shrimp, clams, oysters, octopus, squid, white fish (can't remember), and couple of other things that elude me at the moment for $4. We also got a huge package of Nori for $5ish. We can easily get 2-3 big batches of fish food out of each bag. We are lucky to have an Asian market close by.

Personally, I wouldn't give them brine shrimp very often. Low nutritional value--we give it as a rare treat or temporarily if we have a fish that won't eat. This fish sure love it thought--it is like candy to them--lol. We have a hard time finding the enriched brine here--but ironically we have several LFS and an Asian market!! Go figure.

LOL....they will have mysis, and if you get what's called a saltwater multipack made by Sallys, it has Marine Cuisine, Emerald Entree, Omega Enriched Brine, and squid.......(lol I'm reading my box)
If you have nowhere to get it locally.....you can order it online. YES, shipping will be costly, but you pay no tax, and I order 4-6 months worth at a time....the price per package is cheaper too, so it really works out in the long run
I have 1/4 freezer full of this stuff LOL
