Does anyone have any experience with these lights. I am thinking about getting them for my 30gallon and was wondering if they are quiet and good lights. Also do they have actinics that can be turned on and off?

Is there anyway to make it have actinics. Does it have two switches for different bulbs if I buy actinics?

IMO its a great unit. I have the 36" model. I couldn't be happier with the light output and the 14k bulbs. My corals couldn't be happier either. It actually has 3 switches. 1 for the halides. 1 for the white moonlights. 1 for the blue moonlights. IMO there is no need for actinics with the color output of the bulbs. Check this thread out. Yeah, like drew said....there are no need for actinics and anyway, you can't make it have them anyway. The unit is only one or two HQI halide bulbs and about 12 LED's for the moonlights. The 14000K is very blue so you don't need much else. I have the 30" sunpod over my 50 gal. and I love it. It's been a good unit for over a year now. I recommend them. Here's my tank.

I have the Sunpod hqi 70 watt model on my Nano and it is great. You cannot even hear the fan running in the system. Like everyone has said the 14k hqi bulbs that come with it are all the attinic suppliment you need. I run the white led's with the mh bulb and run the blue led's at night.
It is a great system the only regret that you will have is that you did not buy it sooner.

Would these lights ( the 30" one) be able to allow SPS to thrive in a 30 gallon tank that is 18" deep?
