dude, there is plenty of algae growing on the rocks... the blue hippois and has been fine and the foxface is really happy. Personally i think that what people say about adding too many fish or having too many fish is not true. yes, you cant have 50 fish in a 58 gallon tank and put them in all at once but adding 3 a week is not bad at all... And they have way more room to swim in than i have to walk in in my house... I feed them good food, perfect parameters, good lighting, really good flow, and a filter rated for 75-125 gallon tanks on a 58. There is no problem.

Online: he may be dead already, sick, and only a 15 day warranty. I think i would only buy inverts online.

and not to sound heartless but when the fish get too big i have an agreement with my LFS to trade in a big fish for another small one. It is hard for anyone to have an emotional connection to a fish IMO because they dont live very long compared to humans and you can have many of them. Dogs live longer and people usually have 1 or 2 so i can see getting a connection with a dog.

i am not being purposefully ignorant but i am just expressing my opinion. I have read how hard it is to keep water parameters ok and cleaning filters and what to do with your fish and all these things that sound unusual... But i have had this tank for two months: perfect parameters, i use tap water, no chemicals for adjusting parameters, and i put in 3 fish a week. I dont know, i am not saying what most people do is wrong but i dont believe i am doing anything wrong either.

We have a pair of retired ORA maroon clowns, they are 30 years old.

Trust me I was being sarcastic. Even though I am new to the hobby I know that what this kid is doing is irresponsible fish keeping. If someone would check out my fish list under FISH DISCUSSION (I'm sure it's buried way down now) they would see that I am seeking out the advice of other in an effor to do it the proper way.

I have been following this tank on the boards for the last few days (various posts) about LAX's tank. As a reefkeeper, I feel sorry for the fish that will soon outgrow the tank. LAX obviously has some money to throw at his tank. He will learn just as we all did. I know I did some rather silly things when I first started.
Obviously, as fish lovers, we feel horrible for the doomed fish.
Obviously, as experienced keepers, we know where this is going.
Obviously LAX wants to experiment with his tank and as much as we want to help the innocent voiceless fish, it really isn't our place.
PS- Not rare, they have them around here for about 45.

U people suck!!! what about tanks at stores??? they get in huge shipments in and throw them into a tank!!!! all the advice i get on this site sucks and all u people rely on the internet for your info. My friend has a tank about 200 gal that is loaded with fish and he has kept them for years!!! screw you all!!!
