And MichaelTX, I appreciate the correction. Lol, I feel sorry for the people who embarrass easily upon being corrected. Personally, I would rather have something noted to me once than sounding stupid twice . Viper_930 was already kind enough to point that mistake out for me
LOL I didnt even see that till you pointed it out and I called myself reading the entire thread LOL

well I do that too... Just try this method. It may help a bit.
Set your camera on macro mode... which is usually the little flower symbol on your camera.
Bring the frag as close to the glass as possible.
Without using zoom, take some pix with and without flash with the camera set on a stable surface...

Sadly, that second pic was taken WITH the macro setting, lol. However, it wasn't taken up close to the glass. I should let you know, I am not one to cover up after my own poor decisions / executions of required processes. I can admit that I don't take very good pictures when it comes to sitting in front of the tank.
However, I think the basic matter here is that it just really needs to be taken to the camera shop to be repaired.
I'm assuming the major culprit of the crappy photos (...after myself, that is) would be the sand of Siesta Key Beach. Whenever the lens tries to contract, there's always a bit of resistance / blur when the lens settles.
However, fixing this entails me getting my lazy butt to a camera shop...
Knowing myself, I will probably just end up buying a new camera

if you ask me, id say its probably starting to brown out, thats whats giving some of the polyps that redish appearance.
