You have posted pictures of an incredible tank, You even said the pictures were 6 months old and it looks much better now. Then I saw pictures you posted of a pretty cool water system. I have hinted that you should post some more pictures of your tank and someone else backed me up. You started telling us the standard excuses, my wife has the camera or something like that, your battery is dead, the tank is dirty and you have to clean it yadda yadda yadda......so now I am calling you out, post some pictures of that tank!

What if he doesn't respond? You could always bash him on myspace then invite him over for cookies and milk, hire some 8th graders as lookouts, hand one of them a camcorder.................

Oooohhh, you are soooooo dead Scotts
That was a good one, especially the Kyle Petty kicker.
However, you are correct. I keep saying I'll start a thread or something and have never done it. (Wife really does have the only camera). Well, I guess this is as much motivation as any, and I see no need now to start a new thread, we can just use this one. At the very least, get a mod to move it to the reef tank section, or photography, so we can all get credit for our posts
That's where I was going to start it anyway...someday.
Well I can't go take pics tonight, the lights are off and everything is closed up tighter than a....nevermind. I promise to start posting tomorrow. In the meantime, here's the pic I posted once when it was first setup

Okay, as promised Scotts, let's get started.
A little info. first, then I'll start putting up some pics as I can. I have a few I can get to here at work, but I won't get all this done in one day.
Project: My wife and I finished building our house last year. However, in the early planning stages, we both agreed that we wanted a SW tank, she just had no idea what I was about to do

DT is a 280 gal. starphire glass from glasscages, measures 72"L x 36"W x 25"H
Worked out a pretty good deal with them, and saved a boatload on shipping by meeting them at a trade show in Raleigh and picking up the tank there.
Sump is 65 gal. modified build, with a Blueline 70HD mag drive external pump.
Lights: (2)T12 super actinic 72" long and (3) 250W Metal Hallides
Other: (2) Tunzi ph's with auto controller, RODI with auto-topoff system, JBJ Arctica chiller 1/3 hp
The idea was to build the tank into a wall & not have it sitting on a visible stand. As the house plans progressed, I chose a divider wall which separates our kitchen from the living room, making the dt visible on both sides. I originally had octogon viewing windows on each end, since you can walk around the wall on either side, however I ditched the idea since I would need the ends for overflows, cords, etc.
.....more coming

If anybody can downsize that first pic for me that would be great, and this thread won't be so big

Here's the area prior to the wall going up. This is looking from living room into the kitchen

There is a basement floor below with a work room directly below where the tank will sit.
