T5 shipment got delayed

I ordered my T5 light for my 28g soontobereef tank on friday. BUT it was supposed to go through chicago and they got a bad snow storm and the truck had to stop in IL. So now there is no telling when the darn thing is going to get there. It was supposed to get here tuesday but now it proboly wont! lol i hate when exciting things come in the mail and something messes up!

YUP....I had to send a part out for repair and it is going to take an extra day to get there.....that means it will take an extra day to get back to me too

this weather really stinks

After the storm I tracked my goodies...everything was to arrive yesterday. Only the rigid tubing got here. The lights, and everyting else has yet to arrive.
The amphipods/copepods and turtle grass will be a brick of ice and no doubt DOA
They sent that stuff out FedX 2 days AFTER the storm so what can do? It should have been safe. The rest of the stuff got delayed, which I can understand because it was on route already.

But its a dry cold

I leave the waterfall/stream running on my pond year round. Right now you can't tell there is either. A solid dome of ice over the falls and the stream is completely iced over. I can only hear the water running underneath to know the pump isn't iced up LOL!

I had to delay my SWF shipment from this past Thurs (Fed Ex could not guarantee a live delivery), so now I won't be getting it until this Thursday. They are tracking more storms for the upcoming for my area, woohoo.

i usally get irritated and then get over it because there is nothing i can do at that point, just mentally yell at UPS lol

the UPS tracker stopped saying "package may be delayed to do weather" and it went back to its normal thing. The dilivery Date is still the same..I hope.

Blackjack..if you live in Colorado..Hodgkins IL is not a good sign. I live in Illinois...my T5 also got stuck at Hodgkins, it was stuck on the 2nd my original delivery day, then it said it was routed to Northbrook Il, new delivery day was Feb 6, then it said it was routed to the wrong UPS facility, new delivery day Feb 7..Today it said Gurnee which is indeed down the road from me so It should arrive today. New delivery date Feb 8....
Considering all that, I doubt yours will make it to you today..

This reminds of 2 weeks ago when my skimmer was stuck 10 mins away from me in the UPS facility and got delayed due to adverse weather conditions (was not snowing at all that day). I got my shipment 4 days later.

What really gets me is that the lights were the first thing I ordered. I ordered twice, by mistake...from e-bay ( I hate that thing ) rigid tubing. All the tubing arrived, I no longer need it, if I were waiting on it, no doubt I would still be waiting.
I should be happy, the live critters arrived in time thank goodness. But the first order has yet to make it here. I ordered after the storm was over,my moonlights..they were also supposed to be here today.
I'm sure that I am related to Murphy...if anyting can go wrong it will. The UPS truck most likely had a flat going to my house and it was the last stop so the driver just said forget about it for another day. or Maybe it's the same driver that delivered my sump/fuge and is afraid to show his face
