are you "lawdawg" on reef central??
If you are, we were in there. He "told" us about you... was like talking smack, and we were just like... " he seems fine to us..." lol if it was you, you seemed cool..... Don't you have like a 200 gal reef? (if this is the same guy...)
It's cool if you want to shop there... just be weary of what they do... Thanks for commenting...

that is in deed a drag, people sometime just dont appreciate loyalty. im dealing with a nasty store ( corbins exotic pets) here as well over improper fish compatibility and just outright horrible customer service. im new to this hobby and was totally taken for a ride, an expensive on in my world. i got on Yelp and yahoo posted my reviews, also the local craigs list and of course here on this site. doesnt get the cash back but it may help the person next to you.
good luck with the nano

yeah, it does seem like no one appreciates loyalty anymore.... I know I still do. It speaks for a persons character more than most things.
I a sorry that your store did this to you. It seems like we hobbiest, especially the new ones, need more resources.
For this reason, My bf, who makes Iphone apps for a living, shortly going to be working on an a pocket cross referencing tool for people who are at the LFS and think they find something great but maybe haven't researched it enough. Don't ask the LFS, because they will sell you anything, like you said.
It won't help on the equipment side, but it will help with how to pick fish based on your size tank, possible tank mates, and also just general behavior of the fish you're looking at. It will be a simply guide but hopefully it will help people when picking out new fish. Keep an eye out for that one.
Again, sorry to hear about your troubles, and thanks for the comment! I am happy to hear there are other people out there that still believe in the basics of the "olden" days.

he has quite a few, he is free lance, so his name is not on them sometimes. but his company is called Mobile vision software. He made a few best sellers like "proknots" and another one called "stoogierate" for cigar collectors. There were a few others but I can't remember the name...

He has an app called "mywine" which was actually made by MV, for MV. That one did quite well but I think they have pulled it, or stopped the advertising because there are going to launch a HUGE update for it, and it is going to be awesome.
right now, the biggest hurdle is this music app, called "vocals" and it's getting in the way of EVERYTHING. That one is top 20 in the music category so that's awesome. It too is getting a BIG update..
As far as the fish app, It still needs a name, and it has been a done up on paper, now it has to get coded. And that is a lot more work that anyone thinks it is... It may be out before next year, but it maybe more like January or February. I will post a big thread about it, I think it'll be an awesome tool for any hobbiest! quite info with just a few touches of a button.

I cannot link it because there are outside links involved on the site, but an app was created at least a couple of years ago that is out. It's a guide to fish and coral.
Look up Coral ID app and maybe you'll come across the link. (there's also one for fish).
