i Just tested it
nitrate-below 5 ppm
phosphate- 0 ppm
calcium- 400 ppm
KH(carbonate hardness)- 12 dh
looks like everything is good to me.

take out the damsel when you can. it can get aggressive towards your other fish. but the rock looks sick! and whats your ammonia and trites?

Leave the damsel..LOL...Depending on what else you plan on putting in there anyway.
I have a yellowtail damsel (in my 225) that is probably the tamest fish in there

hey nissan, sorry i dont have any test results for the ammonia and nitrites yet. i lost the book!!! all well. oh yeah, the reason for the damsel is to see what the reaction will be during cycling. they are cheap and rock solid fish, they make a really good guinea pig as well.(sounds cruel)lol.

I used dried/frozen shrimp only because my LFS said that those damsels are nasty and hard to catch so I opted out of that route. Plus, I didn't want to pay 10-20 bucks for a fish that might die and if not, will run from you into your rock work. Plus, my LFS wouldn't take them back anyways and I can't flush the little guy.

well, mine was only 3.49 at the lfs.

haha. i always have used damsel to cycle my tanks. for some reason they are buddy buddy with my other fish, probaly because my other fish a 10 times the size.lol. but i like to keep my fish in line.
