Tang Size Requirement?

Can I put a tang in a 90gal reef? I would like a blue or powder blue if possible? also, how fast will they grow, I am thinking about buying a larger tank next year which I would be able to transfer the tang to when it needs the extra space...
Thanks

Most tangs require a lot of swimming room. But in your case a 90 gallon is fine. Just make sure your tank has nothing that will bother a tang otherwise it may become stressed. All in all, the bigger the tank, the more healthier the tang.

What are the dimentions of the tank? It's been my experience that the Blue Carribean Tang will do OK in a 4 ft tank but much better in a 6 foot tank. The Powder Blue will not fare well in a 4 foot tank for very long at all and really needs an 8 foot tank to live a long life.
My suggestion: If you have the 4' 90 gal you'll do wekk with the Blue Tang until you upgrade providing you buy a young fish. Skip the Powder Blue unless you have the right setup for it.

I really like the blue over the Powder blue, and I was planning on getting a small young one.
I went out today to get pricing on a Larger tank, right now, I'm looking at getting an acrylic tank around 140Gal to 150Gal 6 ft long. Probably not til spring/summer next year, plus whatever time it takes for me to build it into a wall in my house...
So, I should be safe with a Blue tang in my existing 4ft 90Gal, as long as i get a small one?

IMO - Yes, that's fine.
