I've read that you should offer tangs the strips 2 or 3 times weekly. Is it possible to overfeed them the algae strips? I usually give them a strip at least once a day since there isn't a whole lot of algae on my live rock..is that okay?
I put a algae strip a day out as well, he picks at it and still picks at the rocks and such all day. I don't think it can hurt them to have the sheets available and they don't cost much so I leave them in there.
Algae strips are great for tangs. I usually offer it daily also. you can regulate the amount put on the clip. I buy my nori from the local chinese market as it is much cheaper and I think better quality since it is for human consuption. I buy garlic and soak it myself before feeding. If the algae strip is not gone in less than an hour you might want to cut back on the amounts being offered.
Just put a 2 x2 piece in the clip...and place the suction cup on the glass....The tang will probably eat it all...what kind of tang, and do you have any other fish?
Just a note to save a couple $$, in my area the algea sheeets go for $10 a package and my local supermarket sells the seaweed wraps for sushi for $3.00 and there is more in that package than the one in the fish store. It is the same exact product. I put strips in the morning and night as my 2 tangs and rabbit fish will devour a 2 x2 strip within 20 minutes.

I just stick the corner of a 2x2 strip under my magfloat's corner. Those clips always seem to break on me.
I do the same thing, I have an older magfloat and just anchor it under there. I've been through like 3 of those clips finally I said enough, lol!
In a minute...LOL...I have 3 tangs, 2 angels, ++++ other fish, and the most they do in a minute is rip it off the clip..haha...I put a 2x3 piece in...if they eat it...good...I still do not add another till another day or night...
