Tank Bowing

Hey, I just got some new lights, that have a 150W HQI MH bulb in them, but only one. So, obviously, it is situated directly above the center brace. So I think it'll be fine, just block some of the light's all. Well, it started to melt, and now I realize that if I want to run the MH at all, I'll have to cut out the center brace. So, I need to know where to find steel center braces. I'm looking for something similar to what is pictured. These are for a 200G, but mine's only a 75G. So mine need to be 18 1/2" long. They are also fitted with felt on the inside to prevent them from scratching anything, and they are also coated 3x with polyeurathane. Thanks for any help.
EDIT: Okay, I just found out that I cannot post the picture. So, to let you guys know more about the braces, they are simply steel strips that are bent to sort of "hug" the tank edge. If you don't know what I mean, you can look at the picture of them in the post TANK BOWED by Luptin Pitman.

I'm going to suggest you place it on one side of your tank. I'm guessing you have a 4' tank so place the HQI over the center of either the right or the left. Down the road (or sooner) get another one for the opposite side.

I would have done that, but it's all in one hood. It has the 150W MH in the middle, and 2 36W PCs on each side. The tank should be fine if I add braces to it right?

Sorry about that Bang. I'm not sure if I wasn't clear or just worded it confusingly. I'm trying to prevent it from blocking the light by cutting out the center brace. Then moving out the braces to an area where they will not block the light. If you still don't understand what I mean look up the post TANK BOWED by Luptin Pitman. What I'm really asking here is if anyone knows where I can get the braces that he used. Thanks again.
