I love when people post these before and afters....and your tank looks great (that sailfin will get to be around 15" you know! lol)
I am curious if you could post what you did differently. Its great to have the pics...can you give us all some stats or methods that turned the tank around?
It would be helpful to everyone...
Thanks again!

Thanks! I didn't do anithing to turn it around. I just let it mature, and spend a lot of money.
My filtration is a wet & dry with the skimmer, a sump and a 10 gal fuge. I have a Skilter power filter 400 to help my skimmer, both run 24/7. This tank has been set up for a long time. I apriciate all the kinds coments about my tank. Even I'm amazed with the progress. like I said before take really good care of your tank and you will be rewarded for your hard work. Read as much as you can and learn everything you can. Be paitence.

Thanks to everybody. Like I said, I've been keeping fish for a long of time. Nobody loves marine life more than I do. Don't you think that if my fish wasn't living happy in my tank I'll keep them there, of course not! This been researched, studyed, planed or what ever you want to call it. They all are going to be moved to a 250 gal. in wall that I'm planing. Look at this Naso he dosen't seem unhappy to me. Once again thanks! for all the kinds coments on my Reef. I'm very happy with my work.

I really wish you *OPINIONATED* people would keep there *OPINIONATED* comments to yourselves!
Several tangs CAN and HAVE been housed successfully in a tank with Little to NO problems, I know of a person who had 8 tangs in a 140 long *8ft*, the tanks where huge, a Vlamingi was 1.5 ft!, and an Atlantic Blue that was 6 inches along with a orangesholder who was 8inchs or so, thats just three, she did NOTHING speacial just added them when she wanted and turned the lights off when she did the next day they were fine and swimming alongside each other as if they had known each other for a lifetime!
This MYTH needs to be corrected, YES tangs are energetic fish, but come on they have 4 feet of swimming space plus 2 ft of water depth and a foot of width to turn them selves around in!... please if the fish are eatting and not showing any signs of external or internal stress like Lateral Line or Head deg. or parasites etc... then they are doing good and there is NO need to FREAK OUT about such small *OPINIONATED* things!
well anyway! This is JUST some of the research I have found regarding the whole How many TANGS in a tank question!
So feel free to LOAD up your tank in tangs as long at your NOT overdoing your Bioload and the fish have plenty of room to swim!
We as hobbists need to STOP compairing our TANKS to the OCEAN, some of these fish are taken from the ocean so small they have lived virtually there intire LIVES in captivity, therefore its not like your pulling out a GREAT WHITE from the ocean and sticking it in a 30 gallon tank!

First of all I'd like to say tank looks great. While I respect everyones opinion on this board I do however question their judgement. Yes, there are many exceptions to the "norms" of aquariums but, I find it interesting when someone will say my fish are happy. The same was said by someone I know keeping a 8in volitan lion in a 55. He looks happy to you, but give him a larger tank and he won't just be sitting all day long. I'm not attacking you or your husbandry of your tank and it is good to know that a larger tank is in the works. Because you have had many of these fish for so long in this size of tank their growth is most likely retarded. Most aquarists don't think of such things but ultimately it shortens their lifespan considerably. One last thing, imo a naso in this size of tank regardless of purchasing size is a bad decision.
Shawnts - yes a 140 is not an incredibly large tank but it is 8ft long (I'd just like to see the vlamingi turn around in a tank with such small depth). These fish need swimming room, more than a 4 ft tank can provide for many tanks. Is 4 ft of swimming room really all that much for some of these fish? The reason why I bring up these points is do we (aquarists) want our fish to survive the conditions we present them with or to thrive? Most compare our tanks to the ocean because most are trying to mimic the ocean as closely as possible. This is where these organisms evolved and ultimately conditions closest to these conditions will allow the best health in our fish. I guess you could say it will make them the "happiest" if you think that way :D
Part of the reason for this post is to let people who are new to saltwater aquariums to know that many believe this to be bad husbandry. Nobody wants to see another beasl around here. Once again tank looks great and when you get the 250 up post up some pictures.

1000000000000 wrongs don't make a right. Just as you hate the opinions, I hate the "I had a friend who did this and it worked so that prooves you guys are all wrong so there" Feel free to say "I don't agree" but leave the "MYTH" part out...don't dismiss the opinions and EXPERIENCE of other people.
It is absolutely positively wrong to keep a 1 and a half foot tang in an 8 foot tank. I don't care what she did. Can it be done? Sure...big whoop. Most people are not saying don't put the tangs in there because they will fight, though some will in certain circumstances. If you have seen a large vlamingi in several thousand gallons, you might reconsider how happy it is. Anyway, what is the limit for you? A 10g? Because that can be done. I am not a member of the tang police but I do believe in providing a minimal amount of room for certain fish. Some things that CAN BE DONE are still WRONG.
Now junkiebeas -
Its looking good for sure. YOu didn't change the lights? Anyway, looks great! :)
I do question (but it is not personal) why 8 tangs that, IMO, should be too large for a 55g after 3 years are still able to fit comfortably (definitely looks spacious) in a 4 foot tank. Sorry, I just question that. I've seen some of those tangs real big after a couple of years. I look at that situation and wonder "what's wrong here?" JMO
There are LOADS of people with plenty of experience and filtration that either wouldn't try this or wouldn't succeed. I don't want people to get the impression that if they just get a good filter and a couple of years experience, they can basically do whatever they want. I really don't think that is the truth.
