I thought the Super Moon thing was tonight (March 19th, after the sun goes down)?
Took a nice pic just now though. It really is neat how we see different parts of the moon.

Very cool!
I'm going to try to take some more tonight, but it's cloudy out at the moment. I hope it clears up. Oh, wait....I may not be here because of the giant earthquake.

Earthquake? I would be more worried about all the witches and warlocks...not to mention werewolves....I hear the werewolves are gonna to be the strongest the have ever been in over 800 years.

EQs are not affected by the moon.
Actually, they called me last night to see if I could come in to work. I haven't been called in MONTHS. I didn't pick up the phone, though. That moon was last night? I bet there were babies flying everywhere.

Are you sure the change in the gravitational pull would have no affect on the plates along fault lines in the earths crust?

If it were dragging huge tectonic plates around, I'd expect to be moved around too.
But seriously, no, I don't believe in that theory.

Would be interesting to see if the big city hosptials deal with more bite related injuries tonight..
I suspedt there will be a huge increase in drunken patients that fell off their roof.

They have found some relations in moons and tides and then resulting earthquakes. But it doesn't occur consistently enough for it to say a full moon results in "blank". You need consistent results.

From LEO point of view, I can tell you that I have witnessed more activity from the loons during full moons. At least one LEO friend shared the fact that his prison calls in extra gaurds on full moons and requested that he work this weekend. (which he was scheduled to have off)

You need one of these.....
The article quoted the facebook guy, he's not one of my friends. (disclaimer)
The geologist that has predicted earthquakes in the past from animal activity, lunar placement, and other inputs is the one who says the supermoon will likely have an effect on west coast seismic activity. The fb guy was simply pointing out that these events have correlated in the past.

Actually, we only see one part of the moon....the side that always faces earth.

A bit of everything..... peemies and sick termers. No I'm not going in. They can fill in the spaces with Registry. But we've been calling nurses off because our census has been low. We want to give regular staff a chance before we use outside agencies.
