THE NEW UTV!!

WHAT an experience!!!
We were going to pick up the husband's new UTV in Dallas yesterday....BUT they called and said they had the exact one already put together in CA, so they would ship it free.....OK....we figure why not....don't have to take the truck and trailer to Dallas.....yayyyyy saves gas
I get a call Friday night from a trucker trying to find out if we are the right people....he had a name and NO PHONE #'s....then he tells me he is picking the machine up in Kansas....OK...no biggie I guess....BUT HE has no #'s for them either
OK...get a call Saturday while we are in Dallas from trucker, he found the place in Kansas, and is now there...machine is not put together, and the guy could not get 4wd to work and wanted to pay the guy $50 extra to take it as it is...
SOOOO we call the place we bought it from.....come to find out...the only thing not on is the windshield and cap because they do not ship them with them attached...OKAY....and as we are on the phone, they get the 4wd going....WE ARE GOOD.....or are we

Sunday morning we get a call at 7 a.m. that the trucker is almost here.....he arrives at 8:30......husband meets him and guides him here.....talk about an excited person (for now)
I wait for them to unload....go out with camera
IT'S BLACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....he ordered a camo one.....place is closed today....so he has left a message....PLUS it looks like the thing has been sitting outside for a while....he is not happy....actually a very disappointed kid :( BUT here it is anyway

Bummer, but I like the black also. Maybe you can get the dealer you bought it from to drop some $ to make it better? Sweet looking SXS though. Put some yellow and red flames on the hood and fenders. That would be some kind of cool.

LOL....my poor husband looks so sad right now.....that and he is extremely MAD!!!! I think he will probably get something out of this....BUT he really needed this to be right this week...(4th anniversary of son's death on the 29th.....this is a hard week/month for us)

I'd come up with a reasonable figure and stick to it. If they don't want to do something tell them to come pick it up. I think 500.00 sounds ball park. Then the hubby can do his own cammo if he wants.

Well he is going to make a list today of all the "issues" so he has it on hand when he talks to them tomorrow
We need to make sure it runs okay and all too....

Well he got in touch with them.,.....they are getting a truck to bring the camo one, and pick this one up.....
he is getting 2 free t-shirts (whoopie) BUT he can buy anything he wants for 1/2 off....LOL....so he is gonna buy the heater...I told him he should be a (you know what) and get it free

He's not gonna do it.....he is not argumentative or forceful....LOL....That's my job, and he is handling this
I told him if it were me...I'd be getting a bunch of stuff free...most people just give it to me so I'll shut up....HAHA...THE POINT IS though..THEY SCREWED UP
If he is satisfied with 2 dumb shirts and a 1/2 off heater...fine....(GRRR) LOL

Well, I guess as long as the hubby is happy.
If it were me, I would be quite forceful.

WELL....he got his 2 t-shirts in the mail today.....LOL.....they promised him he would have the UTV before the weekend.....when he talked to them today they said now they could not do it...

he got mad (LOL) mad for him.....and they asked him if he would consider going to Kansas to get it and how much would he charge.....LOL....he told them $950 HAHA
then they asked him what would it cost them for him to keep the black...HE does NOT want the black......although, he said he would take camo skins and replace them himself along with a heater for free.....LOL
they called back this evening and are shipping his CAMO one to be here Friday....they will then take back the black one....he said how about me still getting a free heater (remember they were gonna do 50% off) anyway the guy said he would see what he could do.....It would not come with the new machine anyway, so we will have to see if one shows up in the mail....LOL.....
he is too easy going......

I would say he was to easy going!! I would have told them, well look you have screwed up, if you dont want to give me what I want, then come get the black one, dont bring the camo one, because I am going to find someone else that will give me the right one the first time. I bet if he said that they would give him the heater for free, and anything else he wanted, because i am sure they do not want to loose the business!!! lol

LOL....It's just not in his nature to argue....my ex husband was a violent animal....towards me and everyone else....so In a way I like the NON-argumentative ways
BUT...when people are wrong...LOL.....

Well, in ways that is good about him, for you at least. But I agree when people are wrong come on, give them a little grief back!!!! lol

LOL...I asked my husband if he wasnted to do anything this weekend.....his reply..."We will be on the UTV" WE!!!!!

IDC much for that sort of thing, BUT I guess since it means so much to him....I will be taking rides with him...LOL...He better let me drive

p.s.....of course this all depends on if it arrives tomorrow

Yeah for your hubby. Sounds like this is a rough week for both of you, glad he caught a break. That thing looks like it would be fun at the sand dunes! Our Jeep is great fun there, but your UTV would be even better.

He was in the shop most of the night putting the windshield and top on....hooking up the windshield wipers and stuff
tomorrow he will drain the travel oil, and put in the real stuff...then it should be ready to go....YAYYY
