I've heard that the best way to di it is to get some boiling water in a sirringe and blast that on the apestia.

Sorry for the ignorance, but could someone clarify what apestia is? My hubby pointed out something we have that he said was a "nuisance" and I wonder if that is the same thing?

I believe we have them on our live rock! What we have just grows like a weed....they look interesting enough, but they should be taken care of you say?

You could try joes juice sold at your lfs. Here are a couple of pics to help you identify the pest. 1st one is aptasia 2nd is mujano. I got lucky and my flame angel ate every bit of aptasia in my tank the first day it was introduced.

Some reefers use Berghia nudibranchs ( do a google ) to eat aiptasia, its the ONLY thing they eat. They want eat majano.

I had one aptasia in my tank so I took out the rock it was on, touched it and made it go in then super glued him in. ALL GONE!

i had this issue before, and I put a pep shrimp in, and he had eaten all of the aptasia in my tank the first night I put him in.
if you are looking for a natural way, it may be worth trying another pep shrimp.
