Well I'm feeling kind of lost. I have no idea where our next championship will come from and when (I don't count the shock). My tigers have fallen from last years magic and been dessimated by injuries. We all know about the Wolverines. Michigan State football is a joke. The Pistons and Red Wings appear to be middle of the pack playoff teams. And my lions are... well they are the lions.
I guess my only hope is that the tigers get in the A-Rod sweepstakes in the offseason and their pitching staff stays healthy next year. Other than that, all hope is lost...

Dude, the lions have a chance to turn things around. They may not make the playoffs but they will have a dynamic, exciting offense. The only problem is that once they turn things around, assuming their offense is as good as it should be, Mike Martz will get a head coach job.
The Pistons have a chance to make the finals in a watered down east. Don't believe the hype about Boston, they're not a threat. And the Wings will be right there too... anything can happen in hockey.
Regarding the Wolverines, if they run the table in the Big Ten, they still will beat OSU and end up in the Rose Bowl. Sometimes I like them better as the underdog.
If no one responds then I will continue to debate myself until I get this thread locked.

If it'll make you feel better, I don't think the Pistons will ever get past the Finals as long as Manu, Tim, and Tony are dominating the NBA. GO SPURS!!!

No doubt about it... the spurs are amazing. They fell into huge fortune when David Robinson got injured for the year so they go the first pick (Duncan). But you cannot discount Popovich's influence. There are teams with better stars.... Popp brings it all together.

I feel your pain crimzy as i am a Chicago Cub Fan and am still waiting.As for the Pistons i hope Bulls and Pistons meet up again ,its a great rivalry.And as far as your Hockey team try being a Blackhawks fan for awhile...you might feel better. But you Lions.....well all i can say to that is get a new GM!! DA BEARS!!!!!
P.S I root for the Tigers when ever they play the SOX.

Me and a few guys have gone to the lions-bears game in Chicago for the last several years. It's always fun but Soldier Field is atrocious. We've seen too many losses so this year we're doing the Michigan-Northwestern game.
Good point about the pistons and bulls. I like the budding rivalry. All we have to do is have a major brawl to really jump-start things.

Heh ehe i dont go to Bears games anymore,you cant tailgate and i got hit in the head with a night stick from a cop on a horse for whacking the horse in the hind quarter while it was standing on my foot,and it looks like a flying saucer and i am afraid of aliens lol.
I do like the Bulls -Piston rivalry,its starting to look like the days of old Tomas vs Jordan, Lambier vs Grant, Rodman vs His alter ego . And its alway fun to come up to Detroit for the Blackhawk vs Redwings, its a rush when you are wearing you colors.Almost as fun as going to ST Louis Blues game......Barely made it out alive lol

Well, with an outstanding GM like Matt Millen, the Lions should really be on the way up...How does that guy still have a job!?!?!
I do root for your Lions (unless playing Seahawks) as I graduated with Jon Kitna (Central Washington U., its a real academic and athletic powerhouse...kind of the "the Stanford" of Central Wash.). I do think they will be pretty good this year as well, Calvin Johnson and Roy Williams should be quite the duo. Still waiting on Mike Williams and Charles Rogers though (nice job Millen).
My boss is a Wolverine...His office door has yet to open this week...maybe today.

Rylan... I should have known you'd post here... just to kick me when I'm down. But at least I can take solice in the fact that I'm not a Browns, Cav's or Buck-eye fan. Cav's were lucky and will never get back to the finals. OSU's window of opportunity has shut.
And the Browns... not only do they suck but they blew a first round draft pick. Yeah I know that you all feel really smart about getting that whiney, little girl Brady Quinn at 22. But the funny thing is you gave up next year's first pick (which will be very high) and Quinn is never going to be a good NFL quarterback.

I have to agree as long as you have matt millan as your GM the lions are going to suck.His track record speaks for itself.You all have had some good coaches come threw their that can't win.You all fire coaches how about firing the GM since all thoughs pic have amounted to squat.Have #1 draft pic for god know how long you all should be clobering people with all you #1's.As kirkaz say how does he manage to keep his job and get extentions maybe they need a new owner to since he an idiot for keeping him.
