Are you serious? Or are you here to cause trouble??? I definately want to see pictures.
You do understand that what you claim to be doing does not challenge and contradict just a few opinons on a message board. It contradicts/challenges science and marine biologists who's lifes work is studying and documenting behavioral patterns and needs.

I also have a 75 gallon with a Clown Trigger....Niger Trigger.....and a Queen. All are fine. They swim around ....no territories and are fed plankton. Fish all seem happy......when it gets too crowded in the future I will just add another tank or get id of one of the triggers. People do things differently.

You feed your Clown, Niger and Queen Triggers plankton? And you think they are healthy and happy? This has got to be a joke...

I know it has been said, but how could one possibly take all of the neccessary precautions with a fish that gets over 30 inches? They would need a tank of at least a thousand gallons.

Multiple Tangs in a 75G and transferring them to a future 200 plus gallon tank ... This is going nowhere fast. Plus not to mention he has no regards for his tangs' livelyhood. Oh well - come back a year from now and tell us what tang is left standing.

its not done once all those fish have reached maturity and died of old age then its done and you proved someone wrong that it can be done. right now its just a ticking clock. just because its not 4pm when you set the clock doesn't mean its never going to be four pm...... (what a vague analogy)

Great comments guys! However, Iwould like to address a couple of things:
1. The potential size of any animal is only an approximation, and not a guarantee. A human can potentially grow to seven feet tall, but I hapen to be 5'11. Genetics, diet and environment will determine size.
2. The findings of biologist are based on thier observations of animals in the wild, an not necessarily captivity. Therefor, any documented behaviors are based on specific environments.
3. How many of you actually have triggers? It seems the only one on my side is a current trigger owner, who obviously understands the situation (I raise my glass to you TrebeHook because you understand that feeding agressive fish vegetation as appose to live food will help to curb their aggresion. You also are aware that triggers are actually ominvores and require vegetation.
4. The idiot fishshop guy who sold me my titan as a yellow margin (not knowing the difference believed that my queen woud kill it right away. However, my queen simply sniffed my titan and went on her mary way.
My point - don't believe everything you read because all facts are relative to each situation. I'd love to hear from more trigger owners/lovers.
Pictures are forthcoming............

so you're saying anybody who is as ignorant and stubborn as you knows what they're talking about?, i gaurentee you you've been scolded by some other trigger owners, and i will bet you my life a majority of them have triggers that lived over twice as long as tebehook., trebehook made the same mistake as you, bought a lot of baby triggers, when they grow bigger they'll mostly die, and i say mostly cause there might be one winner.
you are being ridiculous, and should give the triggers back, and at this point, you deserve to lose your money in fish, they don't deserve it... but you do.

Personally I think the thread is here to start trouble. Can you post a pic. showing all the fish? You say it's forth coming. How about 1 hour from now? Can that be accomplished? And if not can I close the thread to keep tempers down? Barry

what 30 is trying to say is 9 times out of 10 u will end up w/ a tank full of dead fish. beleive it or not wer trying to help u, (we've all been down this road) i myself have kept three triggers much against the disapproval of the ppl on these boards, and little did i know one of the triggers would gain superiority and kill the rest and kill himself due to the ammonia spike (damned summer camp...) now im not saying u r gonna fail, u could be the miracle boy (or girl
) but the likely hood of that is 1 in a few hundred thousand

If given proper habitat and feeding, fish will reach adult sizes in the home aquaria...not just in the wild. That's a proven fact.

Again...refer to #1.

I've owned just about every species of Trigger, besides the Titan...I'm just not comfortable subjecting a fish such as that to inhumane treatment, such as you're doing.
You can continue to say "just wait and see" but those of us who know what we're doing/talking about will not agree with you. You're one of the typical people who say it can be done/ask if it can be done and then gloat when one person says it'll work, after 50 others have said it wont.
Just in case I missed it, in any of your other posts...how long have these fish been together, so far?
