What facts exactly did he lie about?
No offense but for someone who has followed the industry practically his whole life you don't seem to know too much about the consequences. Here is how benzene is linked to the process of fracking which is inextricably linked to drilling and the process used to do so from your precious, EPA. http://www.epa.gov/oaqps001/community/details/oil-gas_addl_info.html
Perhaps you can explain to us what the use of evaporator pits are for and what is in those fluids that they are pumping into the air in order to expose of the waste?
Some of us who live in these areas don't want to wait until disaster has already happened to know what could be headed our way. Information shouldn't be suppressed from those whom this could effect simply because other folks want to make a buck or two.
New York, I hope you guys know what they are planning on doing with your water shed. Dejeff, how has the air quality turned in your town with the thousands of drill around your neighborhood? Last I heard the pollution from the sites exceeded all of the pollution created by vehicles in those cities up there.
Try sticking to the subject, fracking. You are posting information about drilling in general. Like I said upthread, if you oppose drilling in general great, that's your right.
And read the links about the gasland lies. When the Daily Kos takes shots at an "environmental" film you know it's got issues.

I'm on the subject. You're the one stuck on Daily Kos. I couldn't even begin to load this thread up with the shear amount on the known and well documented cases of polution associated with drilling/fracking or whatever. My whole point was to bring a little awareness. Feel free to turn it into whatever you want.

LOL! Yeah, well I posted 3 different sources, not just the Kos. And the US Environmental Protection Agency disagrees with your assessment of well documented sources as far as fracturing caused issues.
I am done.

Why are you done? Do you really feel like there is absolutely no reason to be concerned about the environmental impact of the boom? I had asked you a question which you seemed to avoid. Can you describe to me what the purpose is of the evaporator pits? The reason this is an issue to me is because drilling has begun with practically a reckless abandon. Tens of thousands of these sites are going on in areas with absolutely no supervision. States and Federal budgets have been slashed tremendously to the departments that would typically be keeping an eye on this. There is a lot of people who should be concerned about in the way we go about this. I'm not trying to argue with you about it.
If you don't like me talking about it, fine. That's you're right.
