NIce! I didn't know that you also had one of these Joe. I love how the one major online site says that these guys are rare blennies... more and more people keep popping up with them.
Do you only have him in your tank or another blenny as well? Mine gets along great with my little TailSpot (1guydude, don't mix blennies in your size tank!)
he is the only blenny i have (2+ years)

I have a bicolor blenny and he is very entertaining - big eyes, big mouth, the way he hops around and swims is funny. Gets along well with the pair of clowns. Likes having lots of caves and pockets in the live rock to hide in.
He grazes on algae most of the time, and pigs out when I feed sinking pellets, I haven't got him to eat nori, but he will also eat algae wafers and brine shrimp with spirulina.

Be sure you know which type of blenny you're purchasing. Some are algae eaters (lawnmower, bi color, etc) others are not and considered "fang" blennies, such as the Midas. You have to be more careful with the fanged group, they do not get among well with certain fish, such as firefish.

What are the major differences between fang blennies and algae eating blennies?
Also, what kinds of algae eating blennies are easy to get eating other food sources?

I love my Midas, he rocks! I recommend them! They are well worth it for the entertainment value. But as BTL said they can get a bit aggressive with other fish.... Also he isn't picky with food at all! He ate hair algae around my overflow boxes.... which was cool.

Fang Blennies literally have fangs. Some can be aggressive with other fish. Midas are the most common fanged blennies. Canary Blennies are also fairly popular. They will usually eat just about anything.
Algae blennies, such as the LawnMower, Tail Spot, Bi Color usually only eat algae. Some will eat meaty foods as well. My Black Combtooth will not accept frozen or meaty foods at all. My Tail Spot (and previous ones that I've owned) all eat both. IME, Tail Spots and Bi Colors usually are easy to get to eat anything, the Lawnmower and Black Combtooth can be a little more difficult. IMO, the Bi Color is one of the best options for a reef and a TailSpot for a nano.
Don't get me wrong, Midas Blennies are AWESOME. They have great personalities, BUT, you do have to be more careful with what fish you place with them.
