Ok, heres my setup. 29 gallon, 50lbs of LR and aragonite 3 inch bed. I am running a cascade canister filter(keep in mind this is only a temp tank until we buy our house and I can go back to my 75 gallon setup, with a sump and all the good stuff). My question is............With my three power heads and I also have a HOB whisper filter just for xtra filtration......do I need the canister filter at all. One more thing...........I am not running a protien skimmer because it all plumbed in to my big system for the 75. But I do have a constant .25 amonnia reading in the tank..........Aside from my cleanup crew..........there is nothing else in the tank....and the cleanup crew member are all accounted for..........the tank has be up and running for over a year with a move taking place this past december............Where is my little bit of ammonia coming from..........ARG!!
My main question is......should I lose the canister??

Use a different test kit. I run two canisters with no problems, one for activated carbon and one for phos gard.
Hmm...chemi pure....in a canister? Interesting, exactly how do you set that up, do you open the bag? What canister do you use?
