toad stool looking wierd....

my toad stool coral is a little more then a week old. today and yesterday it hasnt extended ANY of its tips and today it looks almost shiney or velvety....any help?
all param's 0. nitrate .5 ph 8.2 cal 460

nitrate .5 ????? should be less than .10

people have nitrate with 50ppm+ with corals no problem. mine is less then 1ppm.

i also switched from stock oddyssea 10k mhs to phenix 14k a day after i got this coral.

oops thought you meant 50 not .5 sorry. As for your toad... give him some time. here is a pic of mine going through his shedding process where his extensions stay retracted for a while during growth.

my toadstool would get waxy from time to time too. but it normally would open bk up after a day or 2. guess its just a way to get rid of dirts.
