Toadstool Leather acting differently

First off, my tank (55 gallon) parameters are good:
pH = 8.2
Ammonia = 0
Nitrite = 0
Nitrate = 0
S.G. = 1.022
Good oxygen levels due to my wavemaker causing surface agitation and egg crate top for gas exchange, as well as 20 gallon refugium with a huge mass of cheatomorpha.
My inhabitants: Yellow tang, two tomato clownfish, one yellow-tailed damsel, three green chromis, six lined wrasse, fire shrimp, and clean up crew of snails and hermit crabs.
Just over a week ago, I changed my light bulbs, which was way overdue. My fixture is 260 watt currant compact florescents with dual daylight and dual actinic. Since then, my corals (what few of them that I have) have been acting strange. The polyps of the star polyps and toadstool leather don't extend fully, and I think that it might be photoshock. There's nothing I can really do as far as moving them because they are attached to large main rocks in my display.
If it is indeed photoshock, then how long will it take them to recover? One of my toadstools has a hole in the center and looks as if it may be splitting. Do they do that? I've included some pics so you can see what I'm talking about.%%

IMO, it is melting/dying. Toadstools, at least from what I have experienced, don't split, they drop little sprouts.
I have seen leathers do what yours is doing and it never ends well.
As for shock, have you tried backing off on how many hours the lights are on?

I'll have to do a search, BUT I thought Florida Joe had a thread where his leather split (not his pants either)

Hmmm, thanks meowzer, I've never seen that. Considering the OP also has issues w/ other corals, do you think his is dying or splitting? Imo, its dying.

I have NO clue

I just remembered that Joe had posted that....
My leather was "sick" once but it had what looked like a bruise...I lugol dipped it, and it has made a full recovery YAYY
I am thinking we need a "leather" expert on this one

Thanks guys (and ladies) for the help. I did a 20% water change and they seem to be responding well. I forgot that I used a red slime remover med and was required to do water changes following.
But they were still acting this way before. I'm going to do another 20% change in a couple of days, and hopefully that should do it.

Both ladies tonight, LOL
I would definitely step up the water changes and clean your filtration.

I had one do this and I cut below the spot where it is dying/spliting whatever you want to call it and the stem will form a new head. If it is not dying then you have a new frag. If it is dying you will save it.
