I currently have a 175 w MH and two 17w actinic NO's over my 29 gal tank from the sand bed to the lights is about 21 inches. I need to know if this is too much light for my brain coral, which is placed on the sand bed??? When I first placed it in the tank it was bright green metallic, now it's color has started to fade(but it is growing). Should I be concerned? Should I move it to a different area of the tank with less light? TIA :D

For the health of the brain it's probably better to have more light. For looks the dim light will cause them to open up and attain better colors.
Feed more in dim light though.

What kind of lighting do brains need. I have 130w pc's in a 29g 18 inches high. Would this be enough light?
