I'd like to apologize to anyone who might have read to this point.
Geez, what a trainwreck of a thread!

Okay on a serious note, I love to be here. Help where I can, learn where I can and just interact with fellow reef junkies. There is some great stuff that goes on regarding the hobby and it's always nice to see what others are doing with their tanks. For those of you that have said it you are right, we are here to help each other where we can no matter what the question or who asks it.
And we love you and appreciate you!!!

this is not the area to complain about peoples questions. i have been involved in this hobby for a few years now and its amazing how much has changed with new technologies.
many people in this hobby are not very computer literate and find that starting a thread is easier than sorting through tons of hits when they search. many also feel that their situation is unique so they ask.

I agree, I believe that even tho the questions look similar, no question is the same, each question is specific to the asker. If i ask a question that is similar to the one that the other person asked. Its because i have a different situation. Every tank is different, every need is different, each person will have something different.
Besides the fact that im new to this, and have my own topic, asking where to start. (YES i did research and read the forums before i posted
) But i wouldnt like it too much if someone came in to my topic and started asking for advice on thier tank, and asking a bunch of questions that distract from my questions. Thats why you make new posts.

No apologizes necessary pbnj...Your thread has been totally hijacked by totally unrelated BS. If this was the "Aquarium", then you could expect this, but unfortunately, some posters have ignored the warnings signs here, thus disrespecting your OP.

my salinity is 1.018 is that ok for corals or do I need a flux capacitor on my floppy drive? My LFS told me to get a " Tunze Clue" but I have no idea where to get said "clue". Please respond ASAP as I fear my new tetra is not going to make it with 50ppm ammonia.

Yeah, I hate getting that question. I answer that at least 10 times a day

Check out the header at the top...You are in the 'New Hobbyist' section newbie. If you care to carry this conversation over to the 'Aquarium', I will gladly join you. But on this forum, including this heading, yes, I keep it serious and try to address the op's topic without hitting on women.
