If I had a hammer........Oh wait I do!

Metallic green wall hammer, NICE! That's exactly the hammer that I have in my tank, that & branching green w/ pink tips. I LOVE this thing under actinics. Frogspawn are still my favorite though. I got a few, I will post some pics later, but am hesitant because they looking nothing like ^ frog/hammer man up there!

These are w/ actinics on so they were starting to close up & my camera SUCKS! I will try to get some better pics around midday when the lights have been on for an hour or so.

I have frogspawn and it is very easy to keep. Little lighting is required. Torch and frogspawn are at the same level of care. Both are very easy. It just depends on which look you like best. Personelly I like how frogspawn looks. My clownfish even like it so much that they live in it instead of the anemone I have in there. A hammer is bascically the same as a anchor. I've heard anchors are a little difficult to keep. So I would go with frogspawn or torch.

I would have to agree with most of what you say, with the exception that the frogspawn do need moderate lighting to survive. I am not sure what you are referring to as "little lighting" but you definitely need to have a decent amount of light to keep frogspawn, hammer & torch coral. And yes, hammer/anchor coral are the same.

I know it needs a decent amount of light that was I was preffering to. ut it isn't that much lighting. I know it can't be tucked away in a dark cave. But it doesn't have to be at the very tip top of metal halide lights either. That was what I was reffering to.

Dude, chillax. I was just saying! Your post said that it doesn't need that much light and I didn't want someone going out getting a frogspawn with a 30 watt reg. fluorescent fixture.

I've had all three and torches were the most difficult for me since they were the most susceptible to brown jelly disease.
I've been told that wall-type hammers and frogspawn are more difficult since if one portion is diseased, the whole colony will suffer. With the individual heads, you just need to remove the diseased head and the rest of the colony will have a much greater chance of surviving.
