I going to make the change in the morning but just wondering if anyone sees a problem!!!
I have a 29 gal tank and I am going to remove the CC and UGF and replace it with LS.
First I plan to drain the water into a tub and place the fish and live rock into the tube with old water. Then remove all CC and the UGF and then place 40# LS strait onto the glass. Attach powerhead to the side of tank pointing up. Replace old water into tank and replace all at the same time.
I would like to be cautious and hold the fish out for a while but I am limited to a small amount of resources:
1 rubbermaid tub that is 25gal
1 rubbermaid tub that hold 8gal "has 8gal tap water and salt that i mixed last night"
1 powerhead "in tank"
1 penguin bio-wheel 150 "in tank"
1 wisper 30-60 "used just to move water in tub with no filters"
1 protien skimer (Berlin Airlift 60) "in tank"
Any one have a best demonstrated practice?
