If you look at the Black Hawaiian that is available on SWF.com you will notice that their species name is Melichthys Sp..
This means that you can get either the Indian or the Hawaiian version...but most that I have ever seen are the indian version

The guy is on vacation right now. He will be back next week. But, this is what he said
Sean,
I'm confused.
Did you but a trigger from me?
Between the 2 you show below, all I sell are black durgeons, Melicthys niger, the first one you showed.
Melichthys indicus is a different fish.
That is what you show in the second picture.

I've never carried them.

Melichthys indicus (Randall & Klausewitz 1973), the Indian Triggerfish. Indian Ocean, Red Sea including east African coast. To ten inches in length. A good fish-only aquarium species. This one in the Maldives.
I ordered this

sorry I didnt mean to do that. The guy has been cool so far.
And he told me on the phone that he got the fish directly from hawaiian divers.
I know he sent me the wrong fish just trying to prove it to him. I looked in the world fish atlas and ccampell57 is right. Do either of you know where I can order a true black hawaiian trigger from
