I have had a true perc in my reef tank for about 6 months now. I don't have any hosts for ot becuase I am afriad they might travel and kill of my corals... but each and every night the clown stays in the upper left corner of the tank and swims into the glass. I have NEVER seen this clown sleep.... is this normal???? Hes looks like is is doing a death swim..slowly go up to the top then dwn a couple inches then back up to the top. only when are only the moon lights are on is when he does this.... any info would be great. thanks in advance

my ocellaris would do this. Mine didn't even know what to do with an anemone when I got one. Finally he learnt from my clarkii that anemone was home and ever since I got rid of my clarkii, he has taken over. I think your clown is perfectly fine just as he is. You dont have to invest in a host for it just to help it find a bed....:)....but the harmony of watching an anemone-clownfish symbiosis is out of this world....

you can go to ***** or some pet store. they have some fake anenomes that clowns sometimes host. You could give that a try.
