Turbo snails dying?

Copper from tap water can take several years to reach toxic levels so the timing is right.
I vote for starvation either from the snails themselfs or from any crabs you have in the tank that may get Predatory do to hunger

It depends how old they are when you get them...but that can probably be ruled out since they are dropping like flies.

I would also say starvation. Every turbo snail I have ever bought died within a month of adding it to my tank.

I use R/O water........I think it is starvation now. I am keeping way better care of my tank and their is no kind of algae problem whatsoever. Hence nothing to eat.
I have a Arrow Crab, Yellow Tank, Coral Beauty, Tomato Clown, Magenta Fish, and a Convict Damsel in a 65 Gallon tank.

i agree. mexican's do really well at the beginning of a tank with all the algae blooms and such, but in a mature tank they will drop like flies due to not enough algae. i have one mexican turbo in the tank, and maybe 10 astreas, and up until my recent issues they were fine for my needs in my 90 gallon.

i agree. mexican's do really well at the beginning of a tank with all the algae blooms and such, but in a mature tank they will drop like flies due to not enough algae. i have one mexican turbo in the tank, and maybe 10 astreas, and up until my recent issues they were fine for my needs in my 90 gallon.

Hmm where are they from? Turbo snails from the Gulf of Mexico cannot take reef tank temps and will die. A couple years ago this area was a major collection point for these snails, I havent heard of this practice changing.

Yeah, they can actually all start dying from an increase in the tank's temperature. But in this case, it looks like starvation.
