125 wat equivelent is 30 watts each right?
that should make it grow pretty quick, looks like its going good Al, the levels probably won't drop until you start growing something a little more 3D ish but its on its way.

I think it is going to work, the tub water looks clearer than it ever has, probably just in my head, how do you like those 4$ reflector.

LOL, those are awesome!
Yours stay farther away from the bulb than mine too. my twirly lights like those got hot at the base where the electronics are becuase of my reflector so I had to switch to a different bulb style.
Hopefully yours won't have that problem becuase of how your reflectors are, great work.

Ok so this morning I ruffed up the plastic screen and left an inch from the spray bar smooth. I liked that tip. Now I did a test run of the scrubber in my sink and it looked like there was plenty of pressure but uneven spread of flow. It had flow from one end to the other but a large flow in the middle and streams on the front and back end of the screen. That is to say that there were several streams between those as well just not a wall of water. What are the thoughts to fix this or is this normal? I know the salt water will perform even more differently.
I used a table saw blade to cut the slit in the pipe. So that is a 1/8 cut.

i also used a 1/8 inch blade, and it did the same thing. but i used circular saw and had pipe in vice. so i widened it a bit i'd say mines closer to 1/4

mine is still not perfect but it is working good enough to where im not going to try and cut it again and mess it up. i have a good steady stream at leats 8'' across so im happy with that!

That looks really good. I'm keeping an eye on all these results.
I gotta admit you guys are braver than I am. It must be pretty exciting cutting those things on the table saw. I think I'd have to throw the pipe in a vise and just take a grinder or rotary tool with a cutting wheel to it.

that looks really tight under neath there! hoprfully once you get a little algae on the screen it will even out the flow a little more. looks pretty good though!

It really is not that bad Corey if you build a box around it to hold it, lower the blade all the way then raise it with the pipe and holder over it, the trick is know how far to cut.

I have all of my fingers and toes. Always feels funny when I have an object over a blade and my fingers are on top of where I know the blade is. Dont drink beer and try that one I tell ya. It seems that the flow has evened out across the screen even more tonight. I think once the algae starts then it will even out more.
How bout some pics of others. Videos too!

Looks really good. As predicted my flow has really evened out and I couldnt be more happy. I may try to get the lights on it tonight but I do have some light under there so we will see.

That is good Gill, I just went to look at mine and it is getting darker every day. When I do my 65 gal reef upgrade to sump/fuge I am going to make a ATS scrubber for it. I am thinking above the DT tank. I have lots of room and a perfect shelf for it.
