Turkey Wing?

Does this look like a turkey wing? These aren't the best pics but without removing the rock or moving the tank I can't do much better.

When disturbed does it just close (Oyster??) or does it close and snug tighter to the rock into a crevice(Turkey Wing).

Genus Arca. It's a molluskan bivalve like clams, oysters, muscles, etc. Here is a pic from Sprung's Invertebrates.

I must be missing it in the pic. All I see is the tree looking thing with bulbs on them. Just curious for knowledge. Where am I to look? And what are the tree looking things?

On the second photo the black furrow in the center is the opening between the shells as seen from the end opposite the hinge. The top photo is a side view (the right side of the opening in the second photo). For example, rotate the third pic 90 degrees horizontally to the left and you have the same perspective and the second photo, rotate another 90 degrees and you have the same perspective and the first. As for that growing on the shell I am not certain if it is a red algae or a higher plant, I am assuming it is an aglae.

I got a couple of these clams as hitchikers on my LR. They are pretty boring, but a decent find I guess. Things could be worse. However . . . . keep an eye on them. I had one die, and didnt realize it until I had an ammonia spike. They are very easy to remove once they die. Just give a good tub and it will leave its foot behind. You know its dead when it no longer hugs the rock when disturbed.
