Folks, I can't speak for the other mods, nor can I speak for you.
Here is what I will say: I've deleted several messages in this thread comparing mods, being critical of mods, etc. I will not go for that. I personally respect the mods and this community way too much.
This is a SWF board. It is here for the sole purposes of educating people, comparing notes in this hobby, promoting better aquarium keeping, and of course advertising SWF's company.
The mods here all spend hours of time trying their best to keep the boards on track (some have for years...). As a "new" mod I can tell you I never knew all the junk they had to filter, abuse they took, etc. There are many deleted threads you don't see....
For some reason posters seem to think this board belongs to them to do and say whatever they please. This is not the case. It is the SWF board. For every member that is logged on at any given time, 5-10 guests are viewing the boards. They aren't here to chat, they are here to learn.
We are here to make sure all are welcome. Are the mods perfect? Of course not. As a group however we are patient and passionate about this hobby. If your toes occasionally have gotten stepped on I apologize. I'm sure when you think about the circumstances of being a mod here you can understand how sometimes that may occur.

I can only imagine the amount of junk that needs to be filtered and despite what some of you mods think, I do respect what you do for us here. That doesn't mean I have to respect your views on everything.
I was only pointing out(which was deleted of course)how it seems that lately the filtering has become selective. I'm all for stamping out things that are guaranteed to start an argument(as much as i may enjoy them
) but question why some threads that clearly fall into that category(like the one directly beneath this thread) are not even questioned because of either who started the thread or you agree with the topic.
That being said, my heart does go out for the soldiers who, as i said in the Bush thread, willingly do a job that I would never even consider doing for someone elses freedom

I dont feel any need to try and prove you wrong or me right. Its the condescending attitude, as evidenced by what you just wrote, that is getting tiresome.

1..Shut your eyes and just type something
2..Do not read or respond to post that you do not agree with

I have posted many times here about how sad I am about the death occureing in Iraq......if you wish to honur each one then post there names and many will offer their respects....
But for this to be a test to get an equal responce as some seen yours, in the Anna thread then someone would need to post a disrespectfull comment about these soilders dieing....

Someone posted about her passing away and all you could do was ask what her contribution to society was. Well doing my job as a mod. I will give this thread only a couple more posts that are "Off" topic as this thread was about the helicopter and lives lost and not about peoples views on how other people post.
Just another reason to convince people this is a useless forum (Aquarium)
