unable to add new fish

I have 6 fish in my aquarium, a yellow tang, a powder blue tang, 3 clown fish and a damsel. Everytime I add a new fish it is dead or disappears within a few days. Just recently I tried adding 4 lawnmower blennies and they only lasted one day. does anyone have any suggestions? I have a 40 gallon tank with both coral and fish. Water quality is good. rest of the fish are healthy

Hmm.. I thought you were only supposed to have one lawnmower blennie to a tank....How big is your tank?

Sorry missed that on the op....And it is too small a tank for the tangs....what type of clowns do you have? You should not have 3...

Not only is your tank overstocked but the fish you have in there like the tangs are way too big for that set up. If dont plan on a upgrade take them back to the store and get rid of the damsel. Get a flame angel then 1 blenny and a goby that is bigger than a 2 inches and will grow to over 3. Then let your tank be. Id also take back one of the clowns. Two are a pair one will be the odd man out.
So in all you will be taking back 4 fish. Replacing 3 of them. That is 5 small fish for a 40 gallon which will be okay. They dont have a huge bio load and they shouldnt have territory issues.

It's already an expensive hobby , so research , research , ask questions here ....then more research...hehe

LOL...I had to read the 4 lmb's twice to be sure I read it right...Still waiting to find out how old tank is....

sounds like a FW person stocking a SW tank, lol 4 lawnmowers,,, man im suprised they didnt kill each other in the bag... what a horrible way to die everyone stuck up against the glass with no where to turn. BUY A BOOK OR 2 before buying fish,heck before setting up a tank...

could this be a funny response to the tang police thread in "new to the hobby" a bate and hook perhaps? If it is, you have all been caught my friends.
There has to be something fishy going on here...
