Don't grab it with your fingers if it is a type of bristle worm..OUTCH!...use big tweezers to get a hold of it, when you see what rock it hides in and pull it out. The black (dark) ones that look like a centipede are coral eaters, the two toned ones are good guys..

yea but its got a sharp hooked like body, and it doesnt seem to bother the xenias but it bothers me

Weird and strange critters inhabit our tanks, One lady gave me some sound advice so I pass it on..if you see something in your tank you don't like...wait a week it will change on its own and you won't have to do a thing.
So if a critter isn’t bad…just leave it alone…remember, it is their world and we are just visiting and watching as it unfolds in front of our very eyes. You lose that if you take total control of all things that go on and sterilize the environment. my .02

i have prob 5 or 6 clear white worms in my 125, they came on my live rock and they have never hurt anything it just adds more creatures to your tank! imo i have a couple probably 3-4 inches

ok well ive looked through every forum and google link i could think of and i cant find any harmful worms that look like it, it left the xenias tonight after pulling off an inch of him, and the cbs got him

YAYYY
BUT....you really need to find a better home for the choc star.....he needs an established tank, and I do not think moving him back and forth is such a great idea either :(

well my 10 gallon is like a qt tank, but i like to think of it more as a starfish tank, it has plants that are similar to turtle grass( NOT ACTUAL TURTLE GRASS) its designed to look like a grassy area of the ocean if that makes any sense
