Used ASM G2 or new Octopuss Skimmer?

I have an opportunity to buy a used G2 skimmer with Sedra 5000 pump for $130. Is this a good deal? I'm also considering just purchasing a new Octopuss skimmer based on what people have said here. What model of Octopuss skimmer should I be looking at for a 90 gallon tank with 30 gallon sump? Or should I just be buying G2 used?

Really...I have the octo BH100ss...and I HATE IT....I have never been able to get rid of the bubbles

Mine produces a ton of bubbles but they never come out the exhaust water port.

I purchased a used ASM G3 and I LOVE IT!

I like the ASM 1 & 2, not a fan of the 3's or bigger....Honestly if setup correctly it will pull, but depending how your gonna stock; I'd opt for the Octopus skimmer over the ASM.

Honestly I'd talk to JRAquatics.... He should be able to size you up for what your planning and then price shop for best deal. Meowzer will tell you she didn't care for the CS there, but he had good info and you can buy from other places.

Good luck.....I got to them thru reef central....they took forever to answer the phone....then told me to send an e-mail....then never answered it
