Used Tank

I have a chance to get a tank really cheap but I wanted to check a few things first. This is a 180g tank that has sat outside in a barn for probably a year and a half. It has been covered but exposed to the heat, humidity, pretty cold winter (for georgia anyway); so I was worried about the seals on this thing once I fill it up. They look ok but I am not an expert at judging such things.

How cheap??? Just wondering if it would be cheap enough to risk having to replace all the seals.....

from what I read, that is one heck of a job.....doable....but it's a job

$100, I have heard it is a job as well thats why I thought I would ask. Even if it is a good deal I just dont have the time.Actually another question I have is; what is the biggest tank you would put in a house that has a crawl space?

I'd say the tank should be ok....Have you actually "poked" around at the silicone?? Not meaning dig at it, but push on it and see how it feels?

Yea, it still feels like its a good seal. Im pretty sure its ok I just know the seals that are easily viewable are not the "main seals".I figured I would get some other input.

As long as the silicone is still "squishy" and not flaky and crusty it should be ok. Although it never hurts to resilicone an old tank just for sanity sake.
