if it's sparkly then he's thinkin about what i like...besides, my boyfriend knows that i don't like to mix metals in jewelry: silver with silver, gold with gold, etc etc

I like the first. The more sparkles, the better. I personally like the Journey necklace. I got this for Christmas

oh geez, that's a guy's mind right there!! i've only been with him a year and half is what i'm saying. if he gives me diamonds now what will he do 20 years from now when they're not as special anymore?? or at least that's what he thinks i figure...i will ALWAYS like diamonds!! plus, who knows - i could get sacked any time and then he'd of spent all that money buying me diamonds for no good reason!

Yes, men are pigs. But your dad would still agree with another dad like me that if they are a gift, you do not have to earn them.

On the one had, neither of them really say "I love you"...but I'd be offended to get only lingerie on valentines day. To me, lingerie screams "it doesn't really matter how I feel about you, I just want you to look good before I rip all your clothes off..." I'd rather get jewelry out of the 2 choices. Getting lingerie as part of a present would be fun though.

The wife and I are going back to Disney World. It was my V-day gift to her. Even though I we booked it a few days ago. and Are not leaving until March 1st. there is a movie she wants to see tomorow night, so I'll take her to that and dinner for actual V-day, but the trip is her actual gift. We're staying at the Disney Yacht Club, never been there before, but it looked nice last time we went so we'll see.

The day at the spa thing for both of us would be good except that would require the difficult step of finding a babysitter. We've gone to that well too many times at this point. I ended up doing a diamond heart necklace but neither of the ones that I previously intended.
However my wife, inexplicably, ruined the surprise. She called me a few days ago and asked, "What were you doing on the Zales website?" She totally screwed this up.

Just a word of advice to the women... SOME THINGS ARE BETTER LEFT UNSAID!!!

I would have told her that you were buying a present for your girlfriend and then rolled my eyes

So what did you guys get for your women? Tomorrow is THE day after all :)
Some years ago I was passing by a drugstore around 7:00 on Feb. 13th. I glanced in and there were about 8 guys shoulder to shoulder staring at the cards, blank llok on their face and occassionally reaching out to look at a card and then put it back. I just started laughing.
we have been married 17 years, and this is our schedule at this time of year
Christmas
Jan 12 wife's birthday
Jan 26 daughters birthday
Feb 3 Nephew's birthday
Feb 11 Brother in laws birthday
Feb 18 My mom's birthday
Feb 21 Father in laws birthday
We have chosen to give ourselves a break and not add any more present shopping in during this time.
Although I have to admit, I like your style Spider. Those look good!!!

Crimzy, Well, How did it go?
BTW as far as your other issue. Next time you are shopping online for her either use Netscape or google the store name in everytime. That way it does not show up on the address bar in Explorer. It still may show up in the History files so if she is really snooping she can find it, but at least there is not the big large JEWELRY STORE in the address bar.
Or you colud always do your looking at work and bill it off to a client as "research"
