Waffles or Pancakes?

So, which is it?
Of course neither is from frozen. When you buy frozen pancakes or waffles, nobody wins. Both are to be assumed from scratch or at least a box mix.
Which do you prefer? Why?
CFR, bacon is not an option.

I prefer waffles because they are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They also have nooks and crannies for stuff like syrup, fruit, butter, PB and various other items/topping of choice. My favorite has to be the pecan waffle.

Waffles FTW, light, fluffy, places to hold the maple syrup goodness. All round perfect breakfast pastry.

Well, that video was playing both sides.
I like waffles better because I can smother them in real butter (as much butter as syrup) and they won't fall apart. But if I'm making breakfast, I always make pancakes-it's much easier.

I love the fat free eggos... LOL. I use to use the fat free spray butter on them and that was my meal for the day. Oh the good ole days of living alone.

I don't like syrup though.... will that ruin the whole fresh waffle experience? And I don't do fruit like that. It's got to be butter only with a little sprinkle of powdered sugar if it goes with the flavour.... which I don't know if it does.

PEZ: youre not showing the crepe any love? crepes all the way. 'pancake' was actually my first word (after ma and dad) so really my third word.

You don't like syrup?
That is the whole premise of waffles.
Waffles have the design to hold in syrup and not let it fall to the plate. They are designed to withhold as much syrup as possible and have the added crunch. Plus they have ridges and therefore more surface area than a pancake.
This surface area attribute has been implemented in french fries. Have you ever had waffle fries? The reason they are superior is due to the fact that they have more area for the grease to reach and thereby more area that is crunchy and delicious.
Oh noes...now I need to make a new thread about fries.
Chick-fil-A FTW!

Oh no, I'm so sorry.
I should have considered that!
I would agree that crepes are better than pancakes.
