For the 4-3 ruling that overturned the law that only allowed opposite gender couples to marry!
Fun fact, Cali was also the first state to over turn the ban on interracial marriage...I bet the right-wingers back in the day were crying that it was the beginning of the end for our countries morals

It doesn't cease to amaze me that some people actually take it upon themselves to try to regulate who should and shouldn't be able to get married. They must have a lot of extra time on their hands.

I actually have to agree with you on this. The end of days is near.
The only time I am concerned about the alternative lifestyle is when they start wanting to teach about it in school....That is my job to teach about and explain...not the school's.

I remember when a guy asked me to sign the petition to get the law on the ballot. I just looked at him and said "Dude this is California, there is no way
" Then the Mormon church got behind it and pushed it through.
Of course now they are going to try and put a constitutional amendent. Hopefully we learned out lesson the last time and the voters will turn out and block it.

Way to go, 4 people overturning the will of 61% of cali voters.
And I wonder what percentage of the people wanted to overturn the ban on interracial marriage? I can only hope you feel that was a good decision, even if was against the will of the majority?

Personally don't see anything wrong with it.If they are happy more power to them.It not my preference but if it make you happy goverment should not tell you what you can and can't do if you ask me.Goverment should not be able to tell you how to live you lives.

If marriage is such a holy thing between a man and woman, why do half of them get thrown away in divorce? Equal rights for everyone in this country the Constitution guarantees, unless you are a minority then you have to fight for your rights.

My opinion is still out, but reefreak does bring up a semi-valid point. If same-s ex marriages are in, what else? Man-animal marriages? What about same-kin marriages? Some of these people feel just as 'right' about how they feel about themselves as homosexuals. Where's the difference? And what gives you the right to judge them, and not us to judge homosexuals?
