The wife and I just started on Weight Watchers 2 weeks ago as well. I've put on about 70 lbs since getting out of school and getting a desk job and she is trying to lose the pregnancy weight. So far I am down 10 lbs and dont feel like I am on a diet at all. The WW program lets you eat pretty much what you want within reason and I've found that the dinners we've been having have been just as good (and filling) as what we were eating pre-diet.

Yayyyyyy Another watcher. Lets help each other out here.
Here are a few new things I have found that I really like.
Bagel thins. You can have the whole thing and its 1 pt.
Sandwich Thins. they are also one pt.
Sloppy joe sauce has no points, so tonight I had 1 cup ground beef (lower fat) 3 pts, a slice of low fat swiss cheese 2 pts and a sandwich thin 1 pt.
I also had low fat mac and cheese for 6 pts. and some veggies, no pts.
Dinner tonight was 12 pts total.

Flank Steak - 12 points
Sweet Potato Fries - 3pts
Salad with low fat dressing - 1pt
I get 39 points a day at this point...
My wife has been making these things from one of the books you get when you join. Spicy turkey sausage and kale rolled up in filo dough. Come in at 3 points each so we can have a few of them. Been eating a lot of Couscous (Near East brand, by rice at the store) Only 2 points per cup and really tasty.

Congrats Dragon! Sorry they don't give out 15 pound ribbons. This really PO'd my wife when she found this out so I had to make her one.
In case you two are too young to remember with the old school WW they gave out ribbons at 5 pound increments.

True, but I'm guessing I probably have quite a bit more to lose than you do. I'd like to drop about 60lbs total. That'll get me to about 20 lbs more than I was when I graduated high school.

well, lets just say this weekend was a bust. My girls were in my cousins wedding, so I blew it, then son is sick so I blew lunch today running him to the doc.
Starting again tomorrow.

weight watchers doesnt work!!! i have seen the bungee effect on that program more than ANY other program...
you have to make a lifestyle change and just understand that eating healthy is the way youre living... you have to eat to lose weight... if you arent getting enough calories then your body goes into starvation mode and stores fat for energy later...
only shop the perimeter of the store... eat fresh foods... exercise daily... NO FAST FOOD NO RESTURAUNTS!!!
i have lost 50 lbs since Nov 08... recently have put on 10 to 15 of muscle since i changed up my suppliments and went to high protein intake 150 grams a day...

I disagree 100% here. Weight Watchers TEACHES you that lifestyle change and how to eat properly and in moderation. If I really wanted to have pizza or mcdonalds, I can, it would just blow my allotted points for the day. As it is, I am 19lbs down in 5 weeks and have been eating a larger quantity than I was before, just eating different things.
For example, today so far I have had:
2 cups of cheerios with skim milk (9am)
1 banana (10am)
1 Special K cereal bar (11AM)
1 container cherry flavored fat free yogurt (noon)
Boards head chicken

[hr]
sandwich with 1 slice of cheese, lettuce, cucumbers and red peppers (1:30pm)
All that and its only 2:20PM! For dinner tonight we're having Philly Cheesesteak wraps made with Flank Steak, real cheese, onions and peppers and a salad.
Even after that I'll still have enough points left over to have some frozen yogurt or popcorn.
What WW is very good at is showing people that they can still eat things they like and that taste good as long as you realize that you may have to forgo that high fathigh calorie side dish or dessert.
