Weird fluffy white things

Yep- a regular light. I can grab new bulbs tomorrow. How much do I need?
I know LFS want to make money, so please forgive my lack of knowledge. I will definately post my questions here from now on. I have been counting on the 101 best fish book and looking on line.
Should I really return the butterfly? He has eaten all my little aptasias', just not the larger ones. I need to make a LONG trip to do so, but I will to save the little guy.
So that would leave me with 1 clown and 1 anenome- if I dont kill him from lack of light. What next?

a pc or t5 fixture can work great!

this is for the copperband:

It is best housed in very large reefs, or in peaceful community tanks. It should be kept singly, not with conspecifics or similar butterflyfish, and should not be kept with any stress-inducing fish. Caution should be exercised if housing these fish in a reef aquarium. They may pick on invertebrates, especially anemones and feather dusters. They are an excellent fish when used to control aiptasia, or glass anemones, in the reef aquarium.
The Copperband Butterflyfish is a difficult fish to feed; it is a shy and deliberate feeder that may need a variety of foods offered to it in order to start feeding.
Diet / Fish Food
: Primarily carnivorous, try to give your Copperband Butterfly Fish a variety of marine foods, including brine and mysis shrimp. They will eat aiptasia (glass anemones). It can be very difficult to get them to start eating. You may need to feed live foods exclusively until well acclimated to your tank and then try to wean them onto frozen and flake foods.

Oh, one strip light is not enough. I believe you need a minimun of 3 watts per gallon for an anemone. I would upgrade your lights, or take him back. Sorry :(.

remember some lfs are there to make money.
Every
LFS, (and every online retailer for that matter), is there to make money.
Haven't met one yet willing to give me stuff for free.... I will fully agree some stores take advantage of people.

Butterfly is going back tomorrow. This is why I have been so hesitant to put fish in my tank. I have NO IDEA what to believe. I SPECIFICALLY asked if butterfly CopperBAND was the same as the one I had researched and they said yep.
Thanks guys for your help. I know they wont give me cash for my fish- so what is safe now????? Guess I will just buy the lights.

i know some stores here in miami that dont sell you anything until your tank is ready and when i mean ready it has to be ready. and the light has to fit the corals need. and my boss is the same way.
but again like you said there are others here that are like that

Plan on 200 to 500 for a good light, t5 HO or metal hallide if you want to keep any hard corals in the future with a few acceptions. Aptasia x rid my tank of any aptasia I received on a few rocks. One treatment and they were gone. Power compact are ok, but what do you plan on having in the future? I am not sure if powercompact is ideal for an anemone.

imo t5 with the right amount of bulbs and bulb brand you can sps. MH are just too expensive and the bulbs are like woah! but i love the shimmer effect

I would trade the fish for some cured liverock with maybe a mushroom or zoas on it. especially if you upgrade your lighting. Just make sure you don't add uncured liverock to your tank.

IMO=In my opinion. T5 are a size of bulb for flourescent, sps, small polyp stony corals like acro, birdsnest, montipora.....

OK, got it. Thanks.
Does anyone have an opinion on the Bio-Cube that comes pre-equipped with all the stuff needed for a SMALLer tank. I am starting to hyperventilate- and I really wanted to do this right. Is the smaller tank a viable option with lighting, etc?
You guys ROCK!~
