When she gets up at night, don't turn anything on.....just as much light as you need to prepare her food or change her
During the day...conduct business as usual....do not tip toe around her.....that helped for me
Lois that is the best advice!!!!!! Don't shield her from noise.....She'll adjust and get her days and nights straight.....Actually I like Emma's thinking though....I prefer to sleep during the day and work at night......

Thanks Shawn and James.
Think it is better to take the tank to a glass shop and have them drill it than to do it myself?

i thinks its like $15 a hole ..cheap why bother.what would it cost to get a glass cutter $40? and never use it again.

What........
Your worried about a little tank drilling......The glass shop isn't going to warranty or guarantee anything.....

Check out Harbor Freight Seth....They have some cheap bits, that are under $10.00 and you can drill the tank easily yourself.....I'll try to get by there tomorrow and I'll shoot you a pic of the bits, so you know what I'm talking about.......Super easy.....You don't need any special jigs, a dremel or rotozip, a water source, the bulkhead for you to trace, and some patience.....

Our nearest harbor freight is 2 hours away. :(. I'll order from glassholes if I do it myself. I've drilled tanks before, but never half inch glass.

Your making it to complicated my friend......Spending unneed cash on the GlassHoles setup.....1/2" glass is no different than any other.....It's all about patience and let the bit do the work.....

My neighbors have to think me and my friend Dallas are crazy......Heck we've stood 150's, 220's and 265's on end and such and drilled them out in the driveway.....3am flood lights blazing as I'm running the Rotozip and him keeping it cool with the garden hose.......

Dwarf angles, gotta live em' (or hate em')
Just dropped $130 on mine last week
you could do more than one and have one heck of a setup

Congrats on the score. I went to my "not so local" fish store yesterday and they cut their store front in half. They no longer have the tanks for sale :( He had a couple regulars (55g or less), but none of the showcase tanks I always went in there to see. Those were complete with wood stands and canopy's and some had wood frames on the corners. They were super sweet.
The fact that he quit carrying them probably saved me a small fortune.

Lol. Ain't that the truth.
Well, I decided to get a reeflo snapper/dart combo external pump for the 110 tall. That will put it at about 34x turnover. Not including an mp40 and the return pump.
Instead of the gravity fed auto top off that I have now, I will be baffling my 55g sump to have a freshwater top off reservoir and goin to install a real auto top off unit.
I think I will be purchasing a swc cone skimmer for this tank. I just love the cone skimmers. But things may change in six months.
Of course, I will have a fuge with macro, and reuse my phosphate reactor.
I really would like a calcium reactor when the time comes. I haven't ever used one and it might be pretty neat to learn how.
A really good buddy of mine is donating a profilux 2 controller to me with quite a few accessories. So, hopefully I will be able to play around with that on my current tank and get used to it so that I won't have any hitches installing it on the new tank.
