What are these???

I found this little "cluster" in my 54G Are these mini feather dusters? They do retract too..Sorry for the bad pic, but the 54G is a bow front, and the location of this "cluster" makes it hard to get a straight shot.

Pick them off with those pretty fingenails of yours, or use tweezers, then cover the spot with epoxy.
